The Executive Mindfulness Online Course was developed by Dr. Patricia Thompson, corporate psychologist and President of Silver Lining Psychology. Silver Lining Psychology is an Atlanta-based corporate psychology and management consulting firm that specializes in using a data-based approach to selecting, developing, and training talent. Dr. Thompson created the firm based on a simple desire – to educate businesses and the leaders within them about how to adopt a positive approach to leadership and culture, to foster better organizational results.

MEET DR. PATRICIA THOMPSON
Dr. Patricia Thompson is the President of Silver Lining Psychology. She is a Corporate Psychologist and Management Consultant who is passionate about helping her clients flourish by making well-informed hiring decisions, cultivating talent, and developing a positive organizational culture. Notable clients during her career have included Baylor Scott & White Health, SunTrust Banks, Mercer HR Consulting, AGL Resources, Performance Food Group, Chick-Fil- A, Baptist Health System of Pensacola, Northeast Georgia Health System, The Home Depot, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Habitat for Humanity, The Studer Group, the Georgia Department of Revenue, and many others. She has been consulting to CEOs and senior executives since 2004.
Patricia has been featured extensively in a variety of media outlets, including CNN, Fast Company, Entrepreneur, Money Magazine, Inc., Time, The Network Journal, The CEO Magazine, Investor’s Business Daily, Monster.com, CareerBuilder, Cosmopolitan, Tiny Buddha, Work Awesome, and a host of other sites. In 2015, she was named by Athleta and MindBodyGreen as one of their 100 Women in Wellness, along with the likes of Arianna Huffington, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jane Goodall, Cameron Diaz, Misty Copeland, and many others. She is also the author of The Consummate Leader: a Holistic Guide to Inspiring Growth in Others…and in Yourself a book which has been endorsed by NY Times best-selling authors Adam Grant, Marshall Goldsmith, and Chris Yeh, along with Dr. Nadine Kaslow, the 2014 President of the American Psychological Association. An engaging instructor, she enjoys educating others, and has taught courses and facilitated seminars at the Wharton Business School, the University of Toronto, Emory University, Spelman College, Georgia State University, and various community organizations. She has also won awards from the American Psychological Association, the Southeastern Psychological Association, and the Georgia Psychological Association for excellence in research.
Originally from Alberta, Canada, Patricia completed her B.A. in sociology at the University of Toronto. She then went on to earn her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Georgia State University. As part of her training, she completed a predoctoral internship at the University of Pennsylvania and a postdoctoral fellowship through Emory University’s School of Medicine. On a personal level, she enjoys playing tennis, playing classical piano, working out, doing pilates, reading, and meditating. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and toddler son.
